So, what about this pic?
-
Interesting shape, dude!
The selection of woods it's amazing, and the head looks nice, it's not too sharp.
But you have to put hose horns leveled. Like a normal RG, but with that shape of horns.
-
^ I think that he's going to paint it that green "sunburst".
I like the color, but if it was mine, i only painted the flamed parts, not the necktrhu, and didn't do the sanding on the wood.
-
Just a thought. This guitar would have looked so much cooler with spalted wood. You know, a putrified guitar for the guitarist of "Putrefy"?
Also, sand down that "burst dye" and dye it with the green/black combo you've been working on. The burst just looks really cheap for a custom guitar. Maybe you could go for a green burst with the green in the middle and black on the outer edges. I'd keep the lams natural and dye the wings.
Might want to come up with a nice ebony mounting ring for that pickup, too, or paint the cavity matte black.
+1.
That will look sweet man!
Jamie i want to see the guitar finished man, keep on working, i love the color and the selection of woods.
-
Nice work there.
I do the inlays with router, but it's difficult, maybe i will try with a saw.
-
Hey man nice top!
I want to build my 8, but not archtop, flat.
-
yeah i know, but i'm trying to mod an already built guitar
what about that steel wool + vinegar trick? is that any good?
That thing it's a bad idea, i do it on a old neck and get some scratches, it's better that you use wetsanding method.
-
I was talking about some ns propaganda... no, hehehe.
Talking about seven string dot org.
Matt and the body and all the pics? where are them?
Or you didn't go a lot to the shop?
-
MATT i can't wait to see that 8 finished!
I'm skinhead of ss.org, i recomend you a lot, 'cause i like your works.
Keep constructing alive!
-
Definitive the headstock had to be a 3+3 like Nytefly SA said, a PRS headstock style will look amazing there.
BTW nice countour on the body.
-
Nice woods, i like the sandwich style guitars/bass.
How many did you paid for the woods?
-
MAn congratulations!
I want to see those pics, you can post them here:
www.photobucket.com , then make an acount and upload the pics, then use the link option or the third option of the photo to put it here.
-
Nice idea man!
Maybe in the 12th you can put to wrenches, that would be a good idea!
-
I have 2 word to say:
********!
That work it's exellent man!
Congratulations, your son will love that guitar, but i think that's more a dad/son use guitar hehe.
-
Man it's easy, in venezuela it's a forestal reserve called "los caobos" with all mahogany trees, you have to cut one of them, but that definitive sends you ti jail.
Here i can buy some mahogany and other exotic woods.
-
Try with some hot metal, like a good cutter very very hot, and try to cut it, but you can pass, so be carefull.
Or the other thing maybe can be... the original use a saw.
-
Nice skulls man!
I like kirk hammet's inlays on the ESP, so i like the skulls on all the fretboards.
Huntindoug that inlay rocks!
-
Man those inlays are killers!
I'm starting on this beatiful world of guitar construction, so it's new those things.
But i'm a person who can do things fast and learn fast, but i will take my time.
Congratulations your works are exellents!
-
LGM exellent add man!
A lot of new on the construction didn't know all that stuff, so that's a warning.
A friend of mine was on the luthier class and a guy started to act strange, he was alergic of a wood, his throat, and they have to call the ambulance, that guy almost die there! so people have to take some cares about alergics and dangers of the woods.
BTW LGM i saw Chris guitar, that 8 in nuclear green, exellent job man!
-
Man congratulations!
I like a lot the top, looks so amazing!
IMHO you have to paint it green, like thirstygums one, that green it's exellent IMO.
Keep on constructing man!
-
Very nice the guitar man!
BTW those woods are form latinamerica, i'm from Argentina and here we use the Quebracho colorado for the rails, the sleepers of the rails.
Nice job, congratulations!
-
Nice work man!
The top it's going to stay there or you are going to paint some solid color on it?
-
Nice work man!
What colour are you going to paint it? green or pink it's a nice option IMO.
-
Jamie i liek your work man!
I'm elmeier100 on chat.
Next week i start mine, it's = but without inlay.
Saludos!
