so finaly after a bit of measuring i glued the wings on,,,,, now i used the off cuts of alder to help clamp them into place ,was a bit fiddly lining them up but got it pretty close.....

and heres a better one of what i m trying to do....

then after a bit of cleaning up and sanding i ended up with this.....

yes i thought about it and i was about to glue them on then my bridge arrived,so held fire on it ,after abit of mesuring and so on i found the the bridge would sit like a mile of the wood so the strings wouldnt be to close to the fret board,if you can undersstand what im on about then your doin well !!! lol

so had to adjust something now your probably going to laugh at me when i show how i got around this ,but i didnt want to put a big hole in the top of the wood for the bridge to sit down into so i ended up doing this.....................

so i have to remove like an angled section from the top side of the neck but then i would be left with a small section at the back that id need to fill or do somthing with so i figured that if i preglue a peice of maple on to the back of the neck then i could level it down once the wings are on and also level down the top part using the wings as a ruff guide i think this should work ok ,if not then ive stuft up big time!! hahahaha

so glued a piece on the back.................

yes there was i still have alot of carving and shaping to do on the side bits(wings ?) yeah and wanted to keep them off the neck for as long as possible ,becasue will just make it even harder for me having the neck there ,dont want to damage it as it cost me alot of money,so the idea is to get as much as i can done on those parts before i glue them on,also i dont have all the fanncy tools like band saws and stuff so just trying to do this with the stuff i have ,

then i went to cut the second peice but..... my jig saw craped it self!!! so had to get another one lol,then cut the second piece and gave it a ruff sand up into shape and that leaves me here......

and heres the neck part that i cut ...............

so yeah i started to cut out the side pieces ,i hope im doing this right cause that wood and the neck cost me !!! so hopefully ,i havnt stuft it,

so heres the first piece cut out and rufly sanded next to the neck,

heres the shape scribed out,ya think its gona be hard to cut??????????

hahhahahhaha well it was ,dont have lots a fancy tools so had to make do with my old jigsaw,

so that sort of under way,i looked at getting started on the body,first i masked up the neck ,to protect it a bit while i stuff around,and the other day,the alder wood that i ordered turned up so heres that on either side if the neck,,,

so heres the rufly sanded up headstock next to the warlock,

and aftr some carefuly cutting heres the ruff shape cut out ,found out this shape is spose to be called the son of beast ,its kinda cool i guess,but i think i like the black widow style headstock better lol,as i have a bc rich warlock,but yeah this is a copy so thats what it looks like,

so heres the ruff shape drawn onto the slightly enlarged head stock,lol

gona be a lil tricky to cut out but should be able to handle it.......

now for the head stock,it was actually like 5 or 6 mm to small for what i wanted to do!!!doh!!!,

so to get around this i had to add a couple of strips of maple to each side,

sanded the edges of the headstock and the strips and then glued and clamped them to gether and let it dry for a day or so......

so i stufft around on the computer for ages trying to get the shape of the guitar ,

i used microsoft office professional,to enlarge the pick and spread it out over several sheets of paper,then printed it out,and cut it out ,

now this was just to give me ruff idea and something to get started with not the most accurate way but it was all i could come up with ,i tryed to like draw it out but my art skills arnt the best lol

ok so a got the basic shapes and started to work on the head stock,

so like i thought about it and decieded that i would do the thru neck sorta design on this as the one in the pic was made this way ,but i thought that building the neck myself would be a little bit to hard for my first attempt so hunted one down at steward macdonald,

so got a semi finished thru neck with a blank head stock ,24 frets ,made from maple ,

hi im new on here ,just wanted to share this guitar i wanta build,also pick ur brains for info!!!! ive looked at some of the threads on here and im really amazed at what has been done ,awsum quailty and some great ideas,

so this idea isnt myne well it is but it isnt my design i should say ,im just going to attemp to do a straight copy,of a guitar maybe with a little bit of adjusting here and there to suit my needs but basicly its a copy,so im not taking any credit for any design !!!!

please bare with me on this as this is my first attemp at a guitar ,i saw this one on ebay a few months ago and i nearly bought it ,i humed and hared about it but it was like 1400 dollars and for me thats a hell of alot of money,so the idea came to try and build one like it!!!

ok so heres the guitar i saw and didnt buy lol ,maybe i should have just bought it????????

nah im hoping i can pull this off would be kinda cool,
