  1. Hi guys this is my first thread. Anyway, I've been working on a mid 70's Japanese guitar(thats what he told me), modeled after an SG, by a company called Global. If any of my information is wrong please feel free to let me know because the guitar wasn't marked at all other than the logo. Anyway, I opened it up and checked out the electronics. I've noticed there's a wire which is attatched to the bridge. There's also one on my Strat. The thing is, on the SG it snapped and I haven't fixed it yet. My question is is the wire matters, what it does, and if it really is a "ground wire," does that impy that I'm gonna get zapped if it isn't there? (I haven't played the guitar yet because I have to fix the Bigsby unit and put a nut on it) Thanks!
