  1. I live in Columbus and I had planned on going to this show for a month, bought a new guitar, and I couldn't get anymore money to go, I guess I'm lucky I didn't, I'm not a mosher, more the guy that tries to get to the front, especially because I wanted to see dimebag tear it up. I have a friend who worked at the club (she quit after that) but I guess that monster that killed everybody climbed a fence and burst through the door to get in. She saw the gun and tried to grab for him, but couldn't reach, another person, Nathan Bray, saw him too, and he got ahold of him and the guy shot him in the face. Then he rushed the stage. The local news interviewed some of the killers former friends who said he went to one of their houses like a month ago and he was talking about Pantera stealing things he wrote. Yeah this guy is a nutjob and I'm glad he's dead. Because if there is a hell, he's suffering, he's getting what he deserves.

Rest in piece Dimebag, your music will live forever and you will never be forgotten as a musician and friend to many people. I know this event just makes me want to play guitar more and more, it's the LTD I spent my paycheck on that may have saved my life because I could have been one of the people in the front row to have been murdered. it sends chills down my spine. Rest in piece.

  2. Hi, I was working on a les paul for a friend of mine, been doing this for a while, but I've never run into this one, I'm not quite sure how to remove the tune-o-matic bridge pieces that the actual bridge screws in there, sorry, that's about the only thing that I don't know the name of. I think it's the post, it's either that or the post screws into it. I just want to know how to remove them without damaging the body.

  3. I didn't like any of them, the 1st one looks the best in terms of playability, but that horn was eh. Then the other horns looked okay, but how are you going to reach all of those frets with ease?

Well as long as you have like it and have fun with it, then go for any of them. :D

  4. Yeah Maestro, Symbolic is my favorite work too. It's one of the few albums I can listen to over and over again and it never gets old. All of their stuff is good though. I didn't like when Chuck formed Control Denied though, good music, but the singing ruined it for me, I need that good ol' Chuck Schuldiner growl.

I know of James Murphy, I can't wait for the Death tribute to come out (it's in benefit for James' medical bills.)

The greatest thing about Chuck is that I don't believe he ever truly died because he lives in every song he's ever written, every one I listen to for the billionth time sounds brand new. I love it. :D

  5. I had a method for removing frets, I used it on my old bass and it worked great. If you have a dremel, put on the grinding attachement, set it on the highest power and grind on the top of your fret, the fret heats up and then you can easily use plyers to pull them out. I didn't damage my fretboard at all, but then again, I took a lot of care to insure I didn't damage the fretboard. You could do that then fill in the slots with something, or you could just remove the whole fretboard and put a blank ebony fretboard on it.

  6. I was wondering how I would go about removing the frets off of a fender neck. I mainly work on guitars so I have never taken frets out. I'm building this bass for a friend out of his old parts, so I wonder how to take the frets out without damaging the wood, after removed I'll be replacing them with acrilic fret markers, just where the lines are, and instead of the dot markers I'm doing X's, I saw them on a jackson and thought it looked cool, so I'm doing it to this. I'll post pics when I finish. :D
