Fretless guitar.

I wanted to feel by myself what is it like to play a fretless guitar, and I came with this design. It's made of some local Woods, like teak and mahogany.

It has a traditional hardware set: 1 volumen, 1 tone, 1 switch, with two humbuckers.

This is my latest design. It´s called D-Classic.

Top: Guachipelin bookmatched with a little strip of cristobal in the center.

Middle: Cenizaro

Back: Dark oak

Neck and fretboard: Cristobal

Pickups: 15k bridge, 8.5k neck.

24 medium frets.

Volume and tone pots with a mini-dip switch.

True oil finish.

Hi everybody, I want to post here a special project. I'm not sure if it's a "valid" entry here. If it isn't, please let me know.

I call this "P-Bass Restoration".

It is not a bass that I built, but it's an original 1975 Fender Precision Bass that I restored.

When it first came to my hands, it was a complete mess. It was ugly, dirty, scratched, bad painted, etc, etc, etc.

I decided to restore it since I noticed it was an original 1975 Fender Precision Bass, and not all the days somebody come to you with a relic like that to give it a second chance.

After removing all the messy painting, the wood came out and I realized it was gonna be a very beautiful instrument, like it probably was in its first days.

I decided not to do any sunburst or any kind of paiting on it. I gave it a glossy finish just to let that amazing wood be admired by everyone.

It is made of Ash wood, a really beautiful wood.

The fretboard is rosewood; by the way, it is a fretless bass.

One of the most exciting things that happened with this bass, is the fact that I could use all the original parts, including screws!!.

It has its original pickups, pots, knobs, cables, etc.

I'm so proud of this bass, and I cannot explain how sad I am, since this bass doesn't belong to me :-(

Fingerboard: a special part of the cristobal wood I used for the neck.

Pickups: mighty-mite motherbuckers (21k bridge, 17k neck)

Hi, I call this the "Ocean guitar".

It's made of dark Oak for the body and Cristobal for the neck and fretboard.

It's 25.5", two hambuckers with a fet preamp which gives an incredible sound.

1 volume, 1 tone, 1 preamp gain pot, 3 way switch, active/passive switch.

No trem bridge.

Hi there, here is one of my creations, it´s called "Ad" Bass. The body is made of one piece of dark OAK, the neck is made of Cristobal and the fingerboard is made of Almendro, all Costa Rican exotic woods (at least the last two).

It has 2 soapbars with active/passive electronics, wich gives a deep brilliant sound.

It is 34", 24 frets, 2 volumes 1 tone

I designed this bass 1 year ago, trying to do something completlety different from what we are used to see.
