I only see a picture of one. Are we supposed to compare a soundclip to a picture?

I try not to let the name on the guitar decide if i like it or not, if it feels and sounds good to me then ill like it.
There isn't any specific brand that feels better to you in general? I really like the 60s slim-taper neck found on many gibsons.

Maybe it's a bit late, but the Vee-Wee at musiciansfriend.com is pretty cool.
-
You could ask Drak, but I don't know if he'll do customs for other people.
I thought Drak said once that he never sells the guitars he builds.
If that's true, must have a buttload of guitars.
-
You could make a wooden bridge. I'm making a cocobolo bridge for my Les Paul right now. I just need to wait till I break a string to put the bridge on.

If you put speedholes in your car it goes faster.

I thought that acrylic and plexiglass were the same thing.
Perhaps I was mistaken.

As for the look of those headstocks....
It looks pretty silly.
Just go headless. or at least reduce the head to something not as strange looking.
Yes, they do look strange when they're "naked".....
Lack of a headstock would make it difficult to put on the wall hangers that most stores have and may make it slightly more difficult to fit the guitars in readily available cases without sliding around.

I found out that a blank of mother of pearl inlay costs a fortune! $7 for a little piece (1"x2")!!!
A 10 piece inlay set for Les Paul (#0972) is $43.79
You could buy a couple of ounces of MOP for about $30 from Stewmac

Do you still have that leopardwood top? I was going to get some for a project this weekend. PM me the dimensions and price if you still have it.
PS I am in a suburb of chicago.

"Make Your Own Electric Guitar" by Hiscock has instructions for the vintage Fender® style neck.

You'll need a plottter (a very large, flatbed printer).
I have acess to a color laser printer that is capable of printing full size guitar plans.
It's pretty ass kicking.

The ABR-1 has a saddle retaining spring that always rattles, and it is weaker than the newer TOM bridges making it more prone to de-radiusing.
I'm replacing the ABR-1 on my Les Paul with a cocobolo bridge I made because the ABR-1 has de-radiused and rattles.

so screw you all, i'm not coming back
Maybe everyone is telling you that you are wrong because you are.

If we only charged what it cost to make the cd , like $3 or whatever more people would buy them.
If you only charged what the disk cost, there wouldn't be a point in selling more. Unless you believe that your music can help people better understand their differences and bring about world piece.
FYI:
Golden Rule is, "He who has the gold, makes the rules."

It has Alex Van Halen. But it says, "Signed by 44 musicians" not "...44 guitarists"
That leaves me wondering why Avril Lavigne is on there.
-
However, the case you get matches your guitar EXACTLY, and is very high quality.
But if you have a pretty standard body shape (Strat, Tele, LP) it shouldn't be a problem to purchase a high quality case that is an exact fit.
-
THe wood is a little over 1 inch.I also have a really nice 1/4 sheet of flame maple for a quilt top.
If "a little over one inch" means "an inch and a half" then the body wood+top thickness will be the standard thickness for a solid body. (Assuming you glue the maple to the other wood.)
-
Assuming this works, how does it work? How does putting the washer on give you a larger adjustment range? A diagram would help for a headstock access to the truss rod.
The washer trick works in cases where the wood around the trussrod nut has been compressed. I don't know if it will work if that isn't the problem.
-
notice with all the little kids tele's aren't a favorite.. but why?? jimi hendrix didn't play on one all the time
Stratocasters look cooler to younger players, and they have a whammy bar. I am sure that plays some role.
-
I like the new headstock shape. I would have to see the body too to tell if it sucks though.
Dylan, who should regulate the price of a Fender? People don't need guitars. They aren't medicine. If you don't believe that Fender deserves any money for their clever inventions, don't give them any.
-
But when fender is making like 3 or 400% profit on their guitars, then can turn their shoulder to a couple people who want to use their headstock.
I personally think Fender should be able to charge whatever the hell they want for their guitars. If you can't afford one, tough.

I suppose we should just keep posting new threads on the same topics once the old ones get more than a few weeks old.

but wait, why do you need to know when they pick up???
That way you can go when they have the most crap.
FYI: If the smell is killing you, put some Vick's Vapor rub stuff under your nose. If it can cover up the smell of rotting flesh, I'm sure it will work to overpower rotting pizza crusts.
I need a Les Paul kit. DIY kit

Brian had some Saga LP kits. Ask him.
