Dan Posted December 26, 2002 Report Share Posted December 26, 2002 Guitar tuning is actually quite weird. Its a mixture of 3rd's and 4th's. Try some of these tunings i fiddled around with using the table of intervals, Circle of 5ths, etc. ALl starting on E. Perfect 5ths Tuning : E B F# C# G# D# Just barre the strings and play. Nice sound. [Note: I broke the B string playing this so i bought a high e instead and tuned it to it!] Perfect 4ths Tuning : E A D G# C# F# A few finger variations on chords and this doesnt sound so shite. It's just dropping the G to an E and because most the strings are an E, you can get some nice droning, hypnotic things going on. It's the same tuning that Nick Drake used on his song Road.
