Smartech4U Posted April 4, 2020 Report Share Posted April 4, 2020 This is a blue tone STRATOCASTER guitar I want to build, as I have an unfinished Extra Light Alder Warmth STRATOCASTER body lying around for many years. So why not paint a blues theme on it. I always wanted to paint something on the guitar. So I think that what a better way to do a blues theme as Robert Johnson tribute guitar. The Legend that Robert Johnson sells his souls to the devil in Crossroads. The devil gives his guitar a tuning, a magic touch that with magic power, some super natural power behind his magic hands, to symbolize this, I imitate the gesture of god’s magic touch at the fresco painting by Michelangelo, The Creation of Adam, which forms part of the Sistine Chapel's ceiling. There are not many photos about Robert Johnson, most iconic one is this one use of his album cover. To proficient hand drawing skills on his image and practice first, I started with doing some sketch. Then I trace the outline of guitar onto paper, to planing the composition. time lap video. And I got new ideas for how to make Robert Johnson walking on crossroads. Made a 3D model as his image in the movie scene. The colourful pickguard with circles drawn around the knobs looked good on the painting. It also looked like you liked it too as it spent more time there than the others. The knobs are designed symbols mix of crossroads / mythology and Robert Johnson tombstone , also order some flat head black screw for pickguard . Smartech4U Posted April 12, 2020 Author Report Share Posted April 12, 2020 As coronavirus outbreak that I can’t go China factory to use milling machine to do to made recessed neck use 12 mm screw ferrules sunken for 4mm screw. I find the core Annular Cutter with some mod can do it by hand . It keep the plane of the ferrule perpendicular to the fastener even with a contoured heel, as opposed to having them meet at an angle as you get with a standard mounting plate.
