otgordin
Hey guys, I just started a band, and the bassist is amazing. Easily one of the best musicians I have played with (and I have played with kids that ended up at Berkley, New England COnservatory, and Manhattan School of Music). Most of the stuff we play is somewhere between funk and hardcore. I just can't keep up, can anyone recomend a decent book or video to teach me some new scales and help with speed and technique. Thanks dudes. -Vadim
daveq
OK, last time for a while (I promise) - there is a George Lynch (who else?) video called "Open Jam" that shows him playing a fairly long jam called "funk". There's lots more on that video but the funk jam could be useful to you - who knows. It's an instructional video but most of it is him and his band jamming to various types of rythms.
