  1. Brilliant work so far. Just read through the entire thread, can't wait to see it finished!
  2. Cheers, I'll see about ordering a set tomorrow, then when they arrive I'll let you know. Matt
  3. Anyone got or know of somewhere that has templates for a Les Paul? Been able to find a template for an LP Junior, but I'm after a proper LP template. Cheers, Matt
  4. Oooh, cheers. Definately possible then. That's made me quite happy, as I really love the look of spalted maple, and didn't want to have to choose another wood for the top. Thanks!
  5. Not an expert on it, but I reckon it's useable, after all, other types of maple like birdseye are used for necks. Would look really nice too.
  6. Can spalted maple be used for carved tops (Les Paul style)? Asking as I'm planning to start work on a Les Paul within the next month or so, and my current plan is to use spalted maple for the top. Looking on the Warmoth site (wasn't going to use them, I'm actually doing a proper DIY job, was just browsing ) they only offer spalted maple on flat tops. So, is it useable for carved tops or isn't it up to the job? Cheers.
