Speedy McFeely
hi all, i've been looking into getting new saddles for my strat type bridge. has anyone used "string savers" saddles? are they a gimmick, or are the worth the extra 5 bucks? thanx. jai
I think their worth the extra money. All my personal guitars now either have been fitted with them of come with a variant. On the guitars I build, a hardtail bridge comes standard with graphite string savers.
Speedy McFeely
thanx for the input. how are they over time? are they pretty durable?
PaulNeeds
My strat has the Graph Tech saddles on the bridge, and they're excellent. tone is good, no sign of any wear a year on. Easy to fit... Well worth it. Come to think of it, no string breakages either. None at all.
