GuitarMaestro Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 Hi! The topic says it all. I am building a Rhoads( or a King V) and have decided on most specs, but I wonder how thick the original Jackson V's are. The usual 45mm? Thanks in advance, Marcel Knapp! Quote
Mahelcaya Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 Hi Marcel, I don't know for fact, but when I tried a King V in studio I remember it slightly thinner body compared to the regular 45 mm. (Don't want to hijack this tread ....) Do you have a clue where I can get those string ferrules that you see on the upper body, before the TOM bridge in the KING V? I need them for a project , and they seem smaller than the back (tele style ) ferrules..... Regards Rob Quote
Simo Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 My Jackson PS3 Rhoads is 45mm Mahelcaya, this thread should help.... http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.php?showtopic=11746 Quote
GuitarMaestro Posted October 26, 2004 Author Report Posted October 26, 2004 Thanks guys! @Simo: What is a "PS" Rhoads? Never heard about that? Is it an import Rhoads? Quote
Simo Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 Yeah it's a cheap import I'm too poor to buy a USA Jackson they were made in the mid-ninties I believe. This is the 2nd one I've owned, it's a nice guitar much better build quality than the current imports. Quote
GuitarMaestro Posted October 26, 2004 Author Report Posted October 26, 2004 LOL....I have nothing against imports....just wanted to extend my knowledge of the jackson naming scheme....hehe Quote
