woodsman1031
I have considered building a solid body with an acoustic bridge with piezo and EQ. How do acoustic guitar builders locate the bridge location/intonation since acoustic guitar bridges are not intonation adjustable? guitar_ed
Hi Woodsman, There are many threads that answer your question in detail, but the short answer is this: Measure from the nut to the 12th fret. That is half the distance from the nut to the bridge. In other words, the distance from the nut to the 12th fret equals the distance from the 12th fret to the bridge. woodsman1031
Thanks Ed, I understand how that works, what I am curious about is how intonation on a good acoustic is usually near perfect without an adjustable bridge. I was curious how it is achieved, it is like it is "set" before the bridge is glued.
