Endpin Jack Question

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of using an endpin jack in my next project--but they all seem to be stereo (because acoustic guitars usually need a preamp, right?)

But I'll be wiring the guitar up like an electric-- can I still use the endpin jack and just ignore the battery lead? (well, I suppose that gives me the option of wiring in an effect...hmm....)

Make sure you get a quality stereo end-jack because there are some real crap ones out there that were not made for guitars and they have a serious noise/shorting problem. I have a bunch of bad ones I would give away to someone I don't like! If you qualify, let me know and pay the postage.

you could always make a really ugly charm bracelet out of them and sell it on e-bay. :D

Me? I'm entirely loveable.

I'm really tempted by the endpin jack, but I'd have to order one and wait for it to come...one the other hand, I have a couple of strat-type jacks here already, I'm thinking of mounting one on the underside of the guitar for that 'mystery' effect...
