Mickguard
I'm thinking of using an endpin jack in my next project--but they all seem to be stereo (because acoustic guitars usually need a preamp, right?) But I'll be wiring the guitar up like an electric-- can I still use the endpin jack and just ignore the battery lead? (well, I suppose that gives me the option of wiring in an effect...hmm....) HeavnerGuitarWorks
You answered your own question. :~) Yes... you can use the stereo jack wired for mono use. And it does make life easier when you decide to put an active circuit in.
thedoctor
Make sure you get a quality stereo end-jack because there are some real crap ones out there that were not made for guitars and they have a serious noise/shorting problem. I have a bunch of bad ones I would give away to someone I don't like! If you qualify, let me know and pay the postage.

I'm really tempted by the endpin jack, but I'd have to order one and wait for it to come...one the other hand, I have a couple of strat-type jacks here already, I'm thinking of mounting one on the underside of the guitar for that 'mystery' effect... thedoctor
I STRONGLY approve of the "mystery" angle. Better all the way around.
