allstellar
OK Just bought a les paul custom copy to do some experimenting on. and the body seems smaller than any paul or epi I've ever owned.. I downloaded some 58-60 les paul cad templates from the mmimf.com library and the dimensions are right on. Are customs smaller? Or am I crazy?? or is my copy a toilet..... Are both set's of plans and my copy wrong or are les paul customs of the 1958-60 vintage smaller ... ? thanks guys Edited March 10, 2005 by allstellar
Ragasguitars
A neighbor of mine had a very old les paul, don't know exactly what year but he has had it forever, but he has moved within the last year so i can't ask him for sure, from my recollection, the body was smaller, very noticably smaller, and it was heavy as hell. Might not be tha same year les paul but i can at least tell you that yes, there is a certain les paul that is smaller, dont know what year but I have played on one. Hope that helps. As far as getting dimensions, I don;t know that answer.

erikbojerik
Are you comparing the body to printouts? Or dimensions written on the CAD files? My '83 LPC: 17 1/2" long 13" lower bout 7 1/8" waist 9 1/4" upper bout YMMV...

My '83 LPC: 17 1/2" long 13" lower bout 7 1/8" waist 9 1/4" upper bout YMMV... ← The guitar is a "stellar mercury 2" as seen at www.stellarguitars.com The quality is quite bad.. the binding is "blindingly white and the neck is unevenly shaped (along the back side) Well I guess that a few small measurements being off is what makes this guitar look "not good" it's as follows. 17 1/4 long 12 1/2 lower bout 7 1/8 waist (that's on) 9 1/4 upper bout (that's on too) so over all the "ball" part of the body is quite a bit smaller.. it REALY makes a dramatic Diff compared to a "real" guitar... Anyone else see one of these? I hope it is returnable.. or I'll go insane
