mullmuzzler
I'm thinking of buying two of these necks for two Pensa-like guitars. I'm interested if any of members have any expirience with these necks... They are not too expensive, they come with a paddle for custom headstock shape, but the frets are on the thinner side... I've found more options on necks from Warmoth, but they are more expensive than StewMac necks. Any info and comments are welcome. Thanx. mullmuzzler | OSSMT
thedoctor
Those frets don't look too thin to me and the necks are OK. I really like the Warmoth PRO with the Gotoh side-adjuster. Medium-jumbo frets and a neck I can trust. I am surprised at the price difference but if you consider the labor you are going to invest in your project, it don't come up to much per hour . JPL
Last I knew the Stewmac necks were made by Carvin. If you go direct through Carvin you can get a few more options but not as many as Warmoth. Both make very fine necks but I think Carvin does better fret work.
unclej
i've used a couple of the stewmac paddle head necks and for the price they're just fine. be prepared to dress off the fret ends..they tend to be a little rough.
