Im building a les paul with all nickle hardware (hopefully). There are a few parts (tuners, strap knobs ect.) that I can't get in nickle. If I take the parts to somone to have the chrome removed down to the nickle coat, will the screw in bushing on the tuner still be tight (the threads)? In other words would the absence of the layer of chrome cause any problems with tightening the bushing?
