marksound Posted September 30, 2005 Author Report Share Posted September 30, 2005 I kinda like the slab body on this one. Makes me work a little harder. Also I had this vintage style skinny strap with a fleece shoulder pad laying around that I didn't really like, but it fits this guitar perfectly. I had a bunch of Tele parts set aside for a project that probably won't ever get finished, and all it needed was a body and pickguard. I got tired of looking at the stuff, so I bought a guard from WildBerryCastle and looked up a guy I'd bought another body from on the bay. His bodies are a little more than I wanted to pay, but they're basswood and have nice finishes. All the holes are drilled and seem to match my parts with no trouble at all. This is a case of bolt it up and go. A no brainer. Seems I have a dead bridge pickup, though. Waiting on a new one, but the neck pup sounds so good I don't even miss it.
