Bytrix Posted October 7, 2005 Report Share Posted October 7, 2005 You should really get instructions with the gun, and it'd be different depending on what you were buying as to how long it'll last or how useful it would be to you later on (as you want to use it more). Mattia Posted October 7, 2005 Report Share Posted October 7, 2005 For a small-scale builder, provided you buy a decent gun to begin with and take good care of it (cleaning tools and instructions come with the gun, as a rule), a gun should be able to last you many decades, if not a lifetime of building. The more fragile/wear-prone parts (needle/tip set, springs) may need replacing at some point, but if you're only spraying 5-6 guitars/year, tops, a decent gun wil last a long, long time.
