newbieguitarist Posted October 24, 2005 Report Share Posted October 24, 2005 Ok, so, I have an old knock-off acoustic guitar, and I want to spice it up a little bit, you know, repaint it and put a couple designs on it, so is there a certain way to strip off the finish, and is there a certain paint I have to paint it with? I'm looking for just a straight black finish with maybe a couple designs in silver on the soundboard and across the back of the neck, hopefully. Then after all of that is done, what would I use to get that shiny finish thing? The easiest way would be the best in my case since I'm a little inexperienced in the guitar field.
