TheCross
I thought about it... I want to do a Tele style guitar.... let's say Tele based guitar. Thinline baritone. Does a deep set neck(running to the bridge pup) make any sense with a bolt on? should I use 2 or more neck plates?
George Brown
im not sure i fully understand what your trying to do. are you planning to glue and bolt the neck on? these may help bolt on guitars dont have to use a plate i remember reading a post about someone thinking of a similar idea on this forum so you may want to do a search Edited May 21, 2006 by George Brown
topper
Maybe it would look nice if you did it like this pic ? If u have your heart set on plates i would make my own, draw it on paper and if it looks good go for it. But i cant see what would be wrong with two plates or even four or five. Your guitar your decision. Good luck, and let us see the end result pls.

I've just heard of glued in deep SET necks... what I was thinking about was a deep 'bolt' neck tenon... and concerning the plates... I wasn't too limited to the neck plates I know about the ferrule stuff... I just wanted to know how many I should use?! and your pic topper looks rather like a neck-through. looks nice though, but using a top I can do it different. and you can be damn sure that you'll see the result! Ben
and you can be damn sure that you'll the result! kitarist.gif Shouldnt there be a 'see' in that sentence? Sounds like a good idea to me. It would probably allow you to make the heel a lot less cumbersome too.
