So starting from there what do i do? Spraying with a can sounds best? What are the steps involved and materials needed to respray a guitar. xDrugFreeJonnyx Posted July 8, 2006 Report Share Posted July 8, 2006 Okay man, here's my input i tried spraying some finishes on a project strat guitar with spray paint and rub on wood finishes. The wood finishes turned out better and the spray paint took FOREVER to dry completely... it can take up to weeks for spray paint to settle in completely on wood.
