xtjdx Posted July 18, 2006 Report Share Posted July 18, 2006 Hey, I've got a question. I've got a Music Man HD130 head going into a Marshall 1960A on the 4 ohm setting. The head has options for 4/8 ohms + two speaker outputs, and the Marshall for 4/16 ohms mono (no daisy chain option). I also have a cab full of Rocket 50s that I'd like to use in addition to the Marshall. It's running at 8 ohms. I don't know for sure, but I'm fairly confident that the two speaker outputs on the head are wired in series. Would it be alright to hook both cabs up and switch the ohm setting to 8 on the head while leaving it at 4 on the Marshall cab? Or am I SOL and have to make a 2x12 for a 4 ohm load on the Rocket 50 cab? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
