Rootnote
i just bought a warwick rockbass streamer 5 string, i love this thing....but, it has some sound issues. the volume kicks in at around 7/10, and the 2 tone knobs hardly do anything. do the pots need cleaning? does the whole shabang need a new wiring job? should i just get a new preamp? unclej
i think the first logical step would be to clean the pots and see if that fixes it. while you're in there check the wiring against the factory schematic and make sure that someone hasn't changed it. after that if it still doesn't work you'll have to ask someone smarter than me. i just bought a warwick rockbass streamer 5 string, i love this thing....but, it has some sound issues. the volume kicks in at around 7/10, and the 2 tone knobs hardly do anything. do the pots need cleaning? does the whole shabang need a new wiring job? should i just get a new preamp? Rootnote
that was my first instinct, but i just want to be sure as i'm not the master of electronics yet. on the subject of preamps, i had the idea to possible add a 3 way switch to this baby(say a series/off/paralell). and could anyone give me a good direction in a 3 pot preamp? it already has holes drilled for three polls, and i really dont see any room for a fourth so...
