Pacifica 112M Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 I am going to put copper foil shielding in the pickup and control cavity. Right now, the stock pickguard has aluminum shielding in the area of the controls. Is there any problem with leaving the current aluminum shielding in place? Quote
black_labb Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 shouldnt be an issue the aluminium's protective coating will not be useful as the copper will make the aluminium corrode (the aluminium will corrode instrad of the copper, but copper isnt very reactive so it will be slow anyway) Quote
