Staining On A Tele Body - First Time

Hi all,

After many years of consideration on my part i have finally decided to build a partscaster.

For the body i have decided to lightly stain it and then clear with nitro.

However, i was wondering whether it was easier to stain over alder or ash and what the exact order of steps is, i couldn't find a tutorial on this.

Also, I am planning to order the body from Perry so if you read this can you please tell me what holes are already drilled and all other things like that. Also how much nitro would i need to coat the guitar properly?
