The grain looks really good so far I put the bridge on earlier and it strung up good just need to do a setup to get rid of the buzz. Hopefully it will be done before i meet George Lynch in a couple weeks. Ill end up clear coating it later this week. burst whole body. Ps. that laminate on the bench is my new project oak and mahogany strat! gibsonsg26 Posted August 13, 2007 Author Report Share Posted August 13, 2007 thanks ya i ended up having to put it in so far because i was going to have a replica of my faded gibson sg's neck made out of maple then the guy who was gonna do it said he couldnt so i compromised and needed more width. i can get to about the 21st fret easy but the oak doesnt really sustain to well so i use it for a drop tuned rythm guitar right now simple solos sound alright but im in a glam band so not many of my solos are simple lol.
