brewu22
I just got a 4oz bottle of Gem Chameleon for the Strat type body that I am painting. I have used Createx paints with the Target coatings water based system that I use. I think it should be fine, but wanted to know if anyone else has used it? mlennon
I've used Auto Air waterbourne basecoat in the past and I have to say, as a vehicle spray painter with over 20 years experience, it didn't work for me. The paint was supplied by the customer for a vehicle refinish - so very different circumstances to refinishing a guitar but coverage was very poor and it does not lay down well. It may well have been down to "operator error" but it's certainly not an easy product to use.
brewu22
Well I painted the guitar, you have to make sure your gun is set up perfect. The front looks good, but the back has some slight imperfections. The Clear that I use bonded well. I will post pictures when I get it buffed out.
