Milling My Own Wood

Hi i want to build my own guitar (duh) but i don't want to pay for the wood

and my step father own a small wood mill (he's a custom homebuilder)

i live in Washington state and i have alot of maples that are around my property.

my neighbor actually just cut down a big leaf maple yesterday because of a windstorm.

so my question is would it be feasible for me to cut my own guitar body and

how would i be able to get the wood grain to look its best like the BC Rich Exotic guitars and Basses.

how long would i have to dry the wood?

i need free guitar templates.

i have all the tools/equipment i need and if i don't have one i can just get my step dad to get it for me.
