Simo Posted November 8, 2007 Report Share Posted November 8, 2007 I recently brought a very thick bookmatched set and had it cut again to make a pair of 3/8" sets, one was used on my latest guitar (see UKGB 'In Progress' forum for pics) and this is the other. I was going to keep it for a future project but I've decided to let it go. There is a small crack in the pale section, but it is very, very solid, it won't cause any problems, I've taken a close up so you can see it a bit clearer. They are sawn, not planed but the finish off the saw is very good and level, it won't take too much cleaning up with a plane.
