funkdefino Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 I just moved to Atlanta, Ga. and can't seem to find a good wood supplier (much to my surprise). I just drove out to "Georgia Hardwoods" and was sorely disappointed. Anybody have any suggestions? Ordering wood online scares me only because the websites that sell it are either horribly overpriced or poorly written. The poorly written part scares me because I can't browse the inventory and even if I could most of them don't return email (what's up with that). Thoughts? Questions? Comments? I really just want a real store that I can physically visit and hand pick my wood. I will happily drive up to an hour away. Thanks all! Quote
Lukester Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 just got a swamp ash body,a curly maple neck blank with a pao farro fingerboard from www.LMII.com. Am very pleased with the wood and service. P.S. the price was not bad either.... Quote
GEdwardJones Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 There are a couple of places here, but their names completely escape me at the moment. I'll have to call up some buddies of mine who go through a lot more wood than me. You might have to leave the city, tho. I have a feeling that your best bets are going to be up 75 or 85 Quote
