If I had a proper spray booth I believe I could do much better. I have tried applying dye by hand and have had mixed results so when I saw this video I thought that it might be of interest to others here. Sometimes seeing the process can help to explain things better, at least thats how it works for me. I generally will highlight the edges with a darker color but essentially this is the wet canvas technique that I have described in my dye threads. Lodir Posted April 22, 2008 Report Share Posted April 22, 2008 Great video, thx? I have a question, does he finish with the shellac (he mentiones the politure)? Is it possible to just grain-fill it with 1-2 coats of shellac and then spray some clear coats over? Doesn't shellac dissolve over time (due to sweat and such things)?
