theitalianrob
I have an Acoustic Control Corp. B320 bass amp head (from the early 80's). And whats happening seems really weird to me. The only way it works is if the volume knob is at exactly 10, so i have to control the volume with the gain knob, witch would be fine if it didnt snap to each setting rather than being a regular knob. So i can pretty much have the volume really low, or way too loud, and idk how to fix this problem. Has anyone else ever had this problem or know how to fix it? black_labb
sounds like a faulty pot (or just very dirty) id replace it with one of the same value (make sure its log aswell)
theitalianrob
i think im probably just going to bring it into a shop and have them clean all the pots and check the soldering joints, will prob make it sound alot better with a thorough cleaning. black_labb
that would work, but id probably suggest doing it yourself, all you need is some contact cleaner/. just spray it into the gaps of the pot and let it run out, then twist it for 10 or so turns right the way around. not a big deal once your into the amp.
