Maple Neck Finish ?

hi i wnat to buy a warmoth all maple neck. warmoth necks come seald with an oil based penetrating sealer . if i dont finish the neck or just put just a tung oil will the neck will get diry during playing ?? why to finish i the neck have a sealer ??

They won't warranty the neck unless you get it finished. Something about how it would warp without a finish.
