Nice to be here.

I'm going to join a guitar-building evening school class in September, and I'm researching what to do.

I'm thinking of trying a Gretsch Duo Jet type thing with a chambered body, P90's and a Bigsby.

I play rockabilly guitar with my band using an 86 Tele (bought new..) and a Fender Blues Deluxe RI.

Look forward to getting to know the site better.

if your going to take a class on building; dont fill your head with tooo much build info; let them teach you if thats what your paying for, take the time familliarizing yourself with the basic tools and proper use; after the class there will be many aspects which you feel can be improved or made easier/time saving; and its after you go thru someone elses process you have a clear idea of how you would like to continue; if that is in fact the goal;
