ben049
Hey everyone! I've just built a custom bass and I need help for the wiring the pick-ups to the electronics. To me it's a big deal but for some of you guys it's probably a walk in the park so here are all the info. Here would be a pic of my electronic : http://www.bartolini.net/information/harnesses/hr_4_6.htm Here would be the wiring diagram (which the colors of the wires doesn't match my electronic) : http://www.bartolini.net/instructions/elec...mb/ntmb918f.htm Here would be my pick-up, 2 Kent Armstrong Magnetic Soapbar pick-ups: http://www.wdmusic.co.uk/pub/files/electro...R_w450_h400.jpg Here what I've done and it worked when it wasn't sholdered together. I've put the both white wires on the on the up and down pin of the blend, tie together the black wire of each pick-ups, tie the red and green of the neck pick-up together and did the same to the bridge pick-up and put the ground on the ground. Once it was sholdered it wasn't working. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone of you help me out? Thx in advance for anyone who's willing to help me! anderekel
Well, a quick google and it looks like you might have the colors mixed up. I can't say for sure cause what I found is for a kent armstrong humbucker, but I should hold true. It says that red is hot and the black should be connected to white which would connect the two coils together, then the remaining green is to be grounded. So, if that's correct, then you should attach the red wires to the blend pot tabs, connect the black and white wires together, and ground the green ones with the bare ground wire. Here's the link I found http://www.stewmac.com/freeinfo/I-ARMSTRONG.html
