Wiring Without Switch

Hello everyone,

I am building my 1st electric guitar from scratch. I have 1 single coil and 1 humbucker. I would like to use volume controls for both and one tone control for the two together and 1 phase switch, I think if both pickups have volume controls a switch becomes unnecessary. But I am no expert in electroland. Can anybody help me out here? Is my idea feasible and what would the wiring be??

You are correct. It works. To do it, just take the wires that would be going to the switch and bring them together into one line where the switch would be.
