Phil Mailloux
I'd assume you're talking about Stingrays and S.U.B's? They're Ernie Ball/Music man built active humbuckers with a 3/8" diameter for the slugs, the magnets are ceramic. Seymour Duncan also makes replacement pick-ups for those basses in ceramic or alnicomagnets, 4-strings and 5-strings.
otgordin
Kent Armstrong makes one too.

Phil Mailloux
The Bongos aren't that bad looking, i'd rather have a Stingray of course but Music Man is waaaayyyy out of my price range. That's why I build them myself anyway I'm building the pick-ups myself on my soon-to-be-finished 5 string bass and they're Music man/Stingray copies. have you visited the Music Man forum? There's a lot of Bongo nuts there!!! http://pub206.ezboard.com/fthedudepitfrm30
