Devon Headen Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Is is possible to use Bocote as binding material? If so how thick, and how to use it? steam it then glue? I'd really like to try this if it's possible. Devon Quote
MKGBass Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 You can just scroll up a little bit and look at the Pinned "Building My Neck Thru Guitar" by westheman. He uses bocote binding on his fingerboard. Ask wes how he did it Quote
Devon Headen Posted February 19, 2004 Author Report Posted February 19, 2004 I saw that, and I know how he did it, I'm just worried about bending it. I want it on the body, not the neck. The fretboard is already gonna be bocote, so bocote binding would be a little pointless. Again, I guess I can just try steaming it really well beforehand, but I'd still be worried about how it would work. Devon Quote
