Myka Guitars Posted August 4, 2004 Report Share Posted August 4, 2004 Well, it's almost the same plane just round the bottom (in both directions) and grind a similar curve into your blade. I made my own carving plane like that. If any of you have the book by Irving Sloane called Steel String Guitar Construction there are plans for the carving plane that look exactly like the ones in the link above but the bottom is rounded.
