I'm not sure but I think the site Guide to Guitar Building has some CAD drawings for 7-strings for download.

I will be getting an ash body blank at the end of next week.What I'm wanting to do is use an analine (waterbased) dye to blacken the wood some and then oil finish it.Will the dye affect how the oil soaks into the wood?I want to try and keep the feel of the wood.I could use some advise/opinions.

My suggestion is don't buy it. I had one in a 60 watt studio and my friend had one that was 100 watt 4X10.

The transformers in mine melted down after about 6 months(rarely had it above 4). My friends melted down in about the same time. I've also heard that they go through tubes like crazy.

Crate does make good solid state amps though.

O.K. while routing out a neck pocket for a strat, I slipped and cut about 2mm too much out of the upper side in a slight "S" shape. Is there any way that I can fix this? I've been considering squareing the sides, glueing in a new piece of wood and re-routing the pocket. A few suggestions would be great.

i recently built a prs style guitar in 24.75 scale and all the strings intone correctly except the 3rd (G) string. i use a tuner to set it up but it always plays sharp.

any ideas?
