I have nothing to offer for the UV method. As far as bleaching...
Without a test scrap I would not attempt this.,.,Plus youd be exposing that beautiful wood to lots of moisture when you
neutralize the bleach.

That bridge looks FANTASTIC!!!...Sorry to hear about the drill mishap. I think you should leave Fred showing...way to overcome..lol. FWIW Doug Irwin did inlays on the back.

Your guitar looks great!...nice work. No clue on making a switch tip, unless you have a lathe. If you have no luck making one yourself try here http://www.thgknobs.com/

Honestly...I dont see this working... Stains blend together easily. I think it would come out looking just muddy...Only one way to find out.,.,try it on a scrap...Try using "Search" maybe someone else has tried it....good luck

My guess is you twisted the whole jack and broke one of the connections.,. Looks like the unshielded wire.,.,Clean ,flux, and resolder.

Nice work!,.,Love the color...very cool finish, reminds me of ice crystals on a window.

Good question...Looked for the same part myself with no luck. I think I'm going to make one from a Bigsby pickup mounting plate and cut off what isnt needed.

I have 2 of Larrys necks.,,. the 1st one i got was nice,., fret work was decent plays great on my Strat.,.,the second one.,.,different story, has a few dings and chips here and there.,.,main problem is the holes drilled for tuners are off.,.,didnt look too bad in the pics he provides but when I went to put the tuners on it really showed how far they were off. Unusable as is...Wish Id have known about http://www.soulmateguitars.com/ sooner...
