    g3

I'm not asking whos necessarily the best (technical) guitarist but who's the most passionate player.
  2. I bought the cd the other day I've heard it and seen it all before though, things like this should be watched and listened to by all guitarists and be appreciated for the dedication to the instrument but this way of playing shouldn't be the be-all-and-end-all of music, some people just can't see past this stage of playing, even if you don't agree with this it's worth thinking about.

    Best Wha

I can't believe the Vox wha was left out of the other poll, its design and sound really is fantastic, I advise anybody who's a wha fanatic like me to check it out asap.
  4. I've got probably the worst guitar to use then, because my main guitar (which sounds fantastic) is a Fender Strat with all sing coil pickups. I don't know if the previous model (amp) has effects on it (big gimmick) but becuse I have an ever growing home studio I have been running things through it, using it as an effects processor. The bass is good but pittifull compared to the jcm 2000. I have just finnished doing my second tour in a Jimi Hendrix tribute band and while I'm on tour I use the Marshall Jcm 2000, which is packed full of valves, tone, power and life and then when I come back to home I have to use the mg 100. I might just start micing up some earphones that'll probably be louder and sound better. - Ben
  5. About a year ago I bought the Marshall Mg 100 hdfx half stack (it came out new last year), it's not got any valves and just hasn't got any balls what so ever. I have read a few of reviews on the web on it and there all pretty good and some excelent, but I just can't get along with it, Oh and for some reason if you use the normal input the signal isn't strong enough to use live, so I have resorted to plugging in to the effects return in the back. I have tried several guitars with this amp both humbuckers and single coil and both arn't acceptable for a £500 amp. What are Marshall playing at? Has anybody else come across this problem or experienced this half harted attempt at an amplifier?
  6. I think it about time that the whole g3 thing was knocked on the head it's dragged on way to long now, it was tacky to start with the best minded guitarist was Eric Johnson and when he left the spirit of the project went. Thw whole thing for me it way to comercial, cheesy and for me missis the whole point of making music, these guys are just going through the motions and making a fortune!
  7. The best wha depends on what your using it for and what sort of song your playing. For live stuff I prefer the Jim Dunlop Crybaby but for studio stuff the vox is by far the best because it has fewer electronics in it and so it produces very low to almost no crackling or interferense, at mid to high levels.
