thanks... i'm thinking of doing a cross laminate walnut and mahogany body... when i have money to get the supplies tho

i was wondering if any of you guys know if walnut or cherry are good choices for a guitar body. i know walnut is good for bass, but i'm not too sure if it would be good for lead guitar... and cherry? no idea at all. if anybody can offer me advice on this, it will be much appreciated
