I've applied several coats of paint and have 3 areas that need work. one is between the 'horn' and the neck pocket. The finish is rough in this spot. Another is alongside the neck pocket. I used a small airbrush to fill in a small area that I had mistakenly covered in my tape job.
Should I wet sand these areas with 800,1000, then 1500 grit paper, then paint additional coat(s) to blend in these areas? Or can I wet sand then polish these areas to remove the marks from the sand paper without painting additional coats?
I also have a faint line on the back where I laid the guitar down before it had cured enough. Can I polish these marks out? I understand the polishing steps after applying lacquer/clear coats, just haven't been able to find anywhere that said it was safe to use on paint.
