The thing that is used for guiding the wood through the router (or planer, thicknesser), what is the material that touches the wood (the bottom of it)?

With any maple you are finishing it so I dont see the point of compairing soft to hard maple since you will be playing on the finish and not the maple. Most people cannot tell the difference, and may be using soft maple thinking its hard maple.
What is the main difference? I mean visually?

Ok, thanks on quick answers, guys!

Great! then! And cavity is same size as regular hum?
-
And what is with cavities for hums then? Are they also wider or same size? And what is with neck pickup?
-
Walnut
???

So!
On my future build, I am planning to use Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB on bridge, and Seymour Duncan SH-2 Jazz on neck. While surfing, I found out that there are SH-4, and TB-4, same specification, but one is humbucker, the other trembucker. I've done some research, and found out that trembuckers are used on guitars with tremolo, floyd rose etc. It has something to do with string spacing, right! Now, questions!
What is the difference between using a humbucker and trembucker, what is different in sound?
I will use SH-2 on neck, and there isn't a trembucker like that pickup, there is only humbucker. What is with this problem? Strings are narrower as going from bridge to neck, so will it be a problem?
Thanks a lot!

I'm sure there are similar products in Europe available to Bosnia/Herzegovina. This is the stuff Stewmac are selling (third product - "16™"):

IPS Weld-On 16™ Product Datasheet
Looks like it's pretty much a bog standard item, and no doubt there will be comparable products out there. It's sold in the UK also:

You'll most likely be better off buying a bottle of acetone to bond the binding (as long as acetone melts it) and some good quality binding tape. Nail varnish remover, but preferably without the conditioners :-D
wow thanks on your effort
-
It looks pretty pretty

That Binding cement (or something similar) from stewmac seems to be the best solution, but they don't ship it by air mail, so It is useless xD

Can Cyanoacrylate be used?
-
Because it is more likely to get an answer here in gear subforums.
-
If anyone has a carved top Suhr standard, can you do me a favour? Can you measure what is the thickness on the edges of the guitar, on the top of the carve, and what is the size of binding? I would appreciate...thanks!
-
Doubt any regulars on this board have a Suhr. If you want to find more Suhr owners than you ever wanted to, go over to the Gear page. Average member there has Suhrs, Andersons, etc etc coming and going.
Also good chance if you'd go to Suhr's own forum, he might give you those specs.
Thans on gear advice, and I've already been on Suhr's forum, they won't talk

If he's built it to 1 to 1 scale in model space then he can scale to full size on paper space and print it out in 4 sections from 4 sheets.
You need to have the Viewport toolbar on your screen. To do that right-click on the light grey areas under or next to any of the icons. So right-click->ACAD->Viewports
The Viewport toolbar will appear on the screen. Double-click inside the paper space area then go to the Viewport toolbar and choose the scaling you want, you obviously want 1:1. The drawing will automatically blow up to full dimensions.
No, he has drawn it smaller than it has to be, and now wants to scale it full size

Catalyzed poly is loaded with the binder "isocyanate", a proven carcinogenic (cancer causing). No filter will stop isocyanates and air fed system should be used and/or a good vacuum fume hood in your painting area. BTW, it looks like your buddy's neck could use a fret dressing. I see dimples in the last picture.
Now THAT is some scary ****...
I see dimples too, a lots of, he doesn't care but who cares for them...carcinogenic is the word that is on my mind now...

Does anyone have a Suhr standard guitar, carved top one? If so, can you please measure thickness on edges and on top of the carve? thanks!
-
Is it so dangerous?
-
I told you, you have to know some dimension, and then scale it little by little until you get your desired size.
-
It can be done either way, your preference.
Cool, thanks very much!
-
Hey, thanks on advices!
I've already masked everything very very good, so I am insured
And just one more question, should I cover the frets too? It is not problem, and it may save me from some work later?
-
I will use 2 component polyurethane, I went today to buy it, but they ran out of it, so I placed an order
I don't have professional equipment, but I do have very decent spray gun, great compressor, good place to work and good mask, that should do the job
-
And what is the question?
-
If this was my guitar, i would left it like that, I like vintage stuff, but it's not, and I don't decide what to do, the customer is
Btw, where do you see sanding scratches?
