This was made for my DT Graphic Products class and was my first ever attempt at making a guitar. I was supposed to spray paint a dragon on to it but i didnt have enough time due to the deadline, as well as not being able to do body contours^_^. I Also couldnt use the lazer cut strat template for the routing of the pickups i baught so i had to make one...which went horribly wrong but i had to use it anyway B)

This is the dragon i was going to do but in black and white

All in all i think i have done pretty well..... :D:D

(next project starts in august) :D:D

  2. If you're in the UK then try Luthierssupplies.co.uk or touchstonetonewoods.co.uk

not sure where you can go if you're in US so sorry if you are

thanks alot for those websites, my teacher leant me the cataloges but they are dated...so i was unable to contact them. Google was no help either so thanks alot for giving me the site's :D

  3. thanks for the input guys, ill be doing some adjustments to my lespaul, including changing pickups, bridge, tuners and nut.

Pedalboy, ill be purchasing a custom canvin in august when i get the money but i still want to keep my other guitars (i seem to have built a bond with them, especially my first guitar:D).

    thanks guys, much appreciated :D

  4. ok well i put 2 clamps onto my headstock to experiment if weight makes that big a difference....i put them in different places but the sustain didnt last longer. However i did press my headstock down onto my table and the weas a significant increase in clarity and sustain.

"Well, with this one....you can go and have a bite and AAAAHHHH...you'd still be hearin' that one."

I have played a richie sambora strat and i lost patience with how long the sustain was :D.

I might be selling my epi LP custom so i can buy parts and do a super transformation/upgrade on my pacifica.

..............oh btw...i kinda dented the back of my headstock when applying the clamps... B) i thought a thick layer of tissue would prevent that...... :D ......yup im a dumbass :D

  5. long does it take????

ok... the idea is the heavier the body and the more wood the more sustain. just adding weight will help significantly for a bolt on LP

ah thx, its a LP custom so the neck is set but ill take your word and get a few, that should do the trick

    Thanks again!! :D

  6. ah yes google, the man that looks at every internet site and adds them to a data base, i salute you :D (as my bro once said...seriously....and hes 18.... :D ) B)

im going to bed now, thanks for all the helpfull replies, i hope i can return the favour in the future

  7. ah yes, ive seen those brass clamps you can buy for the headstock, its suppossed to add clarity of the notes and sustain, have you got one and can you tell me if it is worth the money? I dont have money to purchase pickups at the moment but i will do later.

Would it be worth changing the nut and bridge? or would that not do much?

sorry for all the questions lol :D

    thx for help
