how did you make the bits and shape the steel? im thinking of doing the same and have been for a while and you have given me alot of inspriation. I might have access to a large workshop with milling machines and lathe so that might help .
I was thinking on designing a FR Edge Lopro thingamebobby except using a brass bridge block that i got given (wont fit a strat so not sure what its for) and having the strings to go through the baseplate into the block like on a strat. (- im thinking hardcore sustain!)
And also id like the posiibility of being able to adjust the string height like on a strat but im not sure how to do it. Ill make up a few designs i think.
hello
i understand all what you said, i will try to explain you how i did it with my bad english.
1º i cutted a peice of metal in 14 equal pieces
2º then i shaped them with a heavy tool , i don´t know how it is call in english , it´s a machine that hve an abrasive disc!
3 º i shaped them to almost finl step with a "rasp " i think its caaled like that
4º drilled a hole and with the rasp i made the corners
hope you understand
now about the possibility of adjusting heigt you can make a hole and them make in the hole the shape of a screw but you will have to redesign the shape of all things

Hey, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WELL DONE PSW . LETS CELEBRATE. I can't wait for the sound clips, its all comming together. YAY.
I read that post by Mr Coffee and was very pleased with what I read. It's nice to see some skeptecism, i class myself as having a skeptical mind, but I had faith in psw's project.
As for Wix. I'm not as patient as our good friend psw here. Despite you having a picture (only i might add) of a sustainer. You're still, in my opinion, an arrogant little twat who tends to contradict himself 9 times out of 10. I agree with psw, if you know all about psw's sustainer, then tell us, come on, let us know. I'd also like to know how YOURS sounds, so come on, exlain your system and psw's system which you know so much about. Your a waste of bloody time.
you saw the video? take a look :http://www.ruiluis.com/sustainerpsw.zip
im not arrogant i just know that i saw someone acusing of things that i don´t eaven imagined thats bad!!!

a friend of mine did some metal inlays...
Laser cut aluminium inlays.
check hes guitars at Black Machine Guitars
wow!!!! i love that one
-
it is i was almost giving up
-
this guitar was build inspired in ancient warriors and combats, but i tried to give it a modern look too, i gave some texture to the painting to feel good at touch, and that black around the body to remenber the ashes after a battle.
Pickups are handwind.
Sustainer sistem build by me
inox inlay fretboard
maple neck
Floyd rose
jumbo frets

I think what he is saying is he cut off the tang.
Don't know how you are able to read that into his lines. I think what he did is the following according to his last post:
He build a usually fingerboard and inserted the frets. Then he routed down the areas between the frets and inserted the metal plates. Just like common inlays, only that the inlay is made of metal and fills the whole space between frets.
thats it!!!
-
imagine i cuted the metal exact fit , the fretboard is a regular wood one e iinstalled the frets then cuted the place for the inly then epoxied the metal to the fret board then polishing
sorry my bad english
-
finished your sustainer
i hope now you stop acusing or calling me a plagiator or hoax ok?
his only proves that your sustainers works but nothing new
here is first sound and video samples of psw sustainer
peace

Don't be alarmed LK
See I don't know Mr.C and he doesn't know me but he does have some very valid points. Tim's offered me some web space but clearly it isn't as easy as Mr.C suggests to do 'em sounds...give me an email address and I'll send them personal.
And since he mentioned it, I went to Aron's and did a search on "sustainer" and on MR COFFEE and read all 73 posts of his. I feel I know him better already and he's not adverse to apologising, not that I'm saying he needs too here, and I respect that.
I was particularly keen to hear of his knowledge of class D amplifiers so there's something right there to bring to the table
I'm happy for another on the team, there's no limit and there's no point in headnodders and back slappers till we all have one of these things. I understand his sckepticism, very healthy. Perhaps you'd like to confirm for Mr C. that I'm not some hoax-wix!
cheers
psw
BTW Mr.C. will be converted you'll see!
man im geting mad with your talking what the hell is your problem? stop anoying me i have notho«ing to do with your paranoia tomorow i will post here a video demosntrating the sound of your f** sustainer its nothing special to build and if contoinue to anoy me i will put here the plans of your "NOT SPECIAL" DRIVERS I WILL BUILD TONIGHT A SISTEM JUST LIKE YOUR!!!!!!!!!!!! SO DON´T MESS WITH ME AGAIN I EXPLAINED YOU A FEW TIMES I DONT NEED YOUR FAKE PROIJECT FOR NOTHING YOU DIDN´GET NOTHING NEW TO ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
JESUS WHAT A PARANOIC GUY!!!

I agree with guitar maestro, if you are going to bump your own thread you could at least answer the questions people asked you.
sorry guys
Please explain how you did the fingerboard. Is it just a thin metal overlay over a wood fingerboard? Or is the complete fingerboard out of metal? If yes how did you insert the frets?
so i answer its a wood fingerboard with a 3 mm metal plate

hello
do you know other work like this one?

Me don't like! Sorry dude, but I know how hard-easy to work with metals is, and the edges look rough and have no flowing lines. You must be in Europe, I haven't heard about inox here, but in Germany there were a lot of Knifes sold made out of it, kinda like the Stainless steel european version.
You have done a lot of work here to cut back on the detail, unless your point was to make it look rough, but I don't think so.
Ahh, I forget, I see a lot of Leviathan influence on the body,
sorry dude this is a old design i made a few years ago, and Leviathan guitars not the only ones with those corners , i was looking ion the net and found a loto of this kind of design
