I use the screws for mounting pickup rings to direct mount my pickups

I dont have any photos handy, but you can also "Control the cracking to some degree by scoring this poly with a razor knife and when you freeze it it will tend to follow the score lines
-
if you don't use the string tree the strings will pull sharp when you tighten the locking pads

I'll let you know tonight when I check the tool bin . I think I have a 36 block and I know I have a spare R2 nut. What color do you need? If it's black you may be in luck

Get about 6 cans of compressed Air (Computer Dusters) Leave Body in sun to warm for 1/2 hour. Shake can 1 Vigirously, turn upsidedown, Aim straw at guitar, spray, watch finish crack. repeat while using a different can each time until desired effect is achieved
Side note, don't stick tongue to can when the can gets cold

Cool! Let me know and I'll try to get Drak out of the Castle for a few hours

Thats a lovely guitar Myka! I'm an admirer of your work and really like the way you build your guitars. I'm especially intrigued by that neck-joint, does it play as smooth as it looks?
I can attest to the feel of the neck joint. I played one of Davids guitars at the World Guitar Congress last year. Very comfy, almost non existant heel.

The Standard is generally Mahogany or Alder, however you can use whatever gets you excited. There are no rules.

Better get the Teese Wah out and warmed up

So you see, I'm still using the router as a router --but basically I'd be routing a channel all the way through the body block, which is why I equate it with using a saw.
The good part though is that I'm more likely to end up with straight sides
You'll at best Burn up your bit and at worst injure yourself badly if you use that method. you see, the deeper you cut into the body the more unstable the waste side of the blank becomes. It can start vibrating which can cause the bit to grab it and either throw a large piece of wood or cause the router to kick back which is EXTREMELY Dangerous. That's why you rough cut the body shape first

Drak''s been known to use CA Glue on Spalted Woods to stabilize them. Try PMing him or maybe he'll see this thread

Welcome Perry, now let's put the Fire out

There is a book on that very topic. I can't remember the title offhand but it's very popular. Please whatever you do, don't try to whip up something homemade without reading the book first. You could literally blow the roof off your house

You CAN screenprint on a Guitar's headstock we do it all the time at the shop. However it's a 2 person job and very difficult. Try searching locally for a screenprinter willing to make a small screen for you 5" x 7". using large tshirt sized screens is next to impossible due to their size
