A Jig is a traditional Irish dance
no really, a jig is like a template, it lets you make the same thing over and over again
-
Mine totally screams, I didnt solder the red+white to the switch though
-
link doesnt work, it takes you to a idle hotmail account message
-
I have High Speed Cable at home and a dedicated T-3 line at work
-
Fill them with glued in hardwood dowels
-
try ebay for blanks, just dont trust the figured maple sellers
-
Go ahead and fill & Redrill, as long an you use a solid color finish it's likely that you 'll never notice the repair
-
You're definately on the right track, the burst will hide the edge just fine. The hardest part of the whole project is trimming the veneer after the glue dries. Just take your time and use really sharp blades
-
i have often wondered about the possibilities of using dovetail joints for laminates.
I think it would look cool but it's probably overkill
-
yeah I would get a cheap Basswood or Alder Blank, shouldn't cost more than 25-30$$ and if it turns out that you like it then you can actually use it as oposed to the pine which probably wouldnt sound good
-
Nah, if you used Poly Glue that thing should stay together forever. Chances are you didnt use quite enough clamp pressure when glueing. Poly Glue expands as it cures thats probably why you're seeing the glue line

Aren't Carvin Guitars and Necks 25" Scale???
-
Measure Twice and Cut once
-
Try a Hobby/Craft Store
-
Draw a center line from the neck pocket to the bottom of the body and center everything on it

Here's another PRS Shop tour, this one is a little longer than the others
-
Actually a Floyd is only a floating trem if the body has a recessed trem route
-
If you're using a slotted fretboard, glue in some veneer I've done it before and it looks really good. It however doesn't really put any pressure on the neck
-
The thing that I dislike most is the drums on the new CD. Lars' Snare sounds like someone beating on a bucket
-
it's bushings
-
yep that's what they mean
-
I dont know anyone that uses 8's. Most of those are either 8's or 11's or heavier
-
Thanks, that's what I though. I don't like active pickups so I have to ground it
